HighgateHQ was founded by Helen Rapley and Lucy Tauber in 2024. When Helen moved to Highgate with her family in 2012 she realised that there was no easy way to discover what was happening in her new neighbourhood. ​​So she set about bringing together information from various websites and noticeboards. She started to publish her weekly list, and by 2023, Helen’s HitList as it became known, reached over 1000 people. However, when charges were introduced by it’s on-line distributor Helen joined forces with neighbour Lucy to find a way of funding the HitList. Together they set up HighgateHQ which offers a subscription based hub of all things Highgate. ​​Helen and Lucy met whilst walking their dogs in Waterlow Park and immediately bonded over their interest in neighbourhood advocacy. ​Some of you may recognise Helen who works as a volunteer for a number of our local societies, and is best known for her creative shop windows in the High Street. Helen trained as a medical Doctor, and is now retired. ​Lucy grew up locally and has lived in Highgate for 22 years. She is an Architect, Creative Consultant, Community Campaigner, and Senior Lecturer and has a son at a local primary school.
